JobPilot is a subscription web application for job seekers. Its purpose is to help a person find matching job openings, draft application materials, fill employer application forms, and keep a record of what they sent.
The product runs at https://app.getjobpilot.ca. This website publishes public information about that product. The marketing and pricing pages are at https://getjobpilot.ca/home. None of those pages are required to understand what JobPilot is or why it uses Google user data.
JobPilot does not guarantee interviews, offers, or employment. It does not send an application until live submission is turned on.
Sign in with Google requests only identity scopes: openid, email, and profile. Google shares the email address, display name, and profile photo so JobPilot can create or resume a session. Sign-in does not read Gmail, contacts, Calendar, or Drive, and JobPilot does not keep Google access or refresh tokens after that handshake.
Connecting Gmail is a later, optional step in Profile or Settings. It requests the restricted scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly so JobPilot can search the chosen inbox for a one-time registration code from an allowlisted career-site sender during a helper session the person starts. Message bodies are not stored. Codes stay in memory for at most fifteen minutes. Disconnecting Gmail revokes the grant and deletes stored tokens. Gmail access is not required to sign in, match jobs, or apply.
How that Google user data is accessed, used, stored, and shared is described in the Privacy Policy.
